We have visited for many other celebratory buffets. We visited today for the Thanksgiving buffet. It seems that one of our favorite go to restaurants has slowly gone down hill! We have visited Epic for several years, and several occasions. and please ask the guests if it's ok to grab a glass that's not empty off the table. But if that's your way you want it, it's ok. I wasn't worried, I just wanted to pay for your honest mistake, as anyone can make an error sometimes. When I went after him to pay for it and head out, he said (with an angry tone) 'I got it, don't worry'. I went to expedite the payment with the help of another waiter, only to find out from my friends that he put my wife's scallops on someone elses check. Wait, it gets better: 15! minutes later he brings all the checks, I pull out my CC for him, but he's already taking the order at the table next to us. So, let me get this: first you ask who's with me at the table so you can bring me the check and then you come and tell everybody you 'need' to do all the checks because someone else at the table requested it?!! that I requested the check, he asked me who else should be on that check, only to be back after 5 minutes saying that he has to do the checks for all the people at the table, because someone asked for it already. The food was great! No bad review about the food.īut the service: infatuated, know-it-all type of waiter who wasn't able to bring the check in less than half an hour, although I insisted 3 times we really needed to head out. What? Any restaurant that proclaims itself as upscale best not be itemizing the martini charges! And for that, I will not be back. And the final insult? When the bill came, our friend discovered that his Tito's martini was billed for 3 separate items - the Tito's, and then a 2.95 upcharge for 'Martini', and then the ultimate insult.$1.95 for the Blue Cheese Olives. Should the server not have asked which filet he wanted? I think so. In his mind he was ordering the small, but he supposedly was served the Large, and billed accordingly. May I first start by saying that the Wedge salad was excellent. And yet, I ask why? For food? for service? After my experience, I'm not sure. Here we have a restaurant that is highly rated. Try 131 Main or Sullivan's if you want a great meal. Also ordered medium and it was red and cool in the middle. My particular steak was the special of the night, split strip, and it had more gristle than meat. Waited another 10-15 minutes before it came back with the manager who only took it off the bill after her husband pointed out that everyone else was done eating. The other one ordered medium rare and got well done so that one went back. Three of us went ahead and ate what we got since it was already after 8. Four of the five were not cooked to order. Which meant that the other five were warm at best.

Was told by the server that he was waiting on one plate to be completed. Saw two groups that came in with us leave before we got our main course. Waited another 20 minutes for our main course. Ordered appetizers and salads which were there quick. Would not seat us until everyone was there. Reservation was at 7 for 6 people and 4 of us was there at 655. Server was great but the food was not prepared very well. This was just a terrible experience and I would love to know how they get good reviews. Scallop's were gross and even the wine tasted flat. Couldn't send it back bc we never saw our waiter. The steak was red, I asked for medium-well done. Beyond the unwelcome service, the food was terrible. There was a birthday party next to our table, they had our server's full attention to the point we had to hunt down other staff to give us water and let us pay to leave. Hell the way it tasted, my husband could have cooked it and added some flavor. We might as well have gone to the kitchen and got our food. Then our waiter didn't care about our table. After the girl looked she told them their reservations were for the next night but that she would seat them right away. then another couple came to the podium and said they had reservations. They said to wait 5-10 mins while they got more menus and could find. We tried it for the first time last night and the service and food was abysmal. I do not understand they hype around this place.
